Mrs. Nicole Jensen
Meet the Teacher
Hello! My name is Mrs. Jensen and I am excited to be your teacher this year! It’s going to be a fun year filled with lots of learning. I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us. I’m anxious to learn more about you, but first I am going to tell you a few things about me.
I was born and raised in Mabel, MN, which is a small town in the southeast corner of the state, most of my family still lives there today. After graduating from high school (Mabel-Canton High School), I attended Iowa Lakes Community College to play volleyball and earned my AA degree. After graduating from there, I attended Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall and pursued a degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, and a minor in Special Education.
This is my fourth year teaching at Sleepy Eye. I'm excited to be in the 3rd grade classroom. Third graders love learning, having fun, and I enjoy watching them learn and change throughout the school year.
I live in Sleepy Eye with my husband Tyler, two daughters, Kenley and Madelyn, and our golden retriever Chance. We enjoy attending summer baseball games, frequently visiting the aquatic center, and spending time with our extended family. I also spend most of my time in the fall coaching volleyball.
I’m thrilled to be your teacher this year and for you to be a part of our awesome class! This is going to be a great year!
